Systems Administrator

Analyze system setup; build, install, configure, and deploy systems, servers, workstations, and hardware peripherals; implement best practices; perform capacity planning; monitor server logs, system performance, central processing unit, and memory utilization; maintain and optimize performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and scalability; design and implement system backup and recovery procedures; provide system and user support; analyze problems and formulate solutions; document technical specifications, general procedures, and practices; and evaluate hardware.  Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent (will accept bachelor’s degree equivalency prepared by a qualified credential evaluator) and five years of experience in systems administration.  Five years of work experience with system analysis, configuration, backup, recovery, troubleshooting, and optimization using Citrix, VMware, and Windows NT server.  Work in Milpitas, CA.  Travel and/or relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the US may be required.
